Parks & Recreation

Based on some googling, it looks like Medford residents have cheap access to a semi-private pool calle d Tufts Pool and a park/pond open only to Medfordians called Wright's Pond (which has its own facebook page).

It's Official

So by 2036 or so, I should own this thing free and clear. On that day, I plan to burn the mortgage using the plasma exhaust from my hovercar. Then I will go out for a nice meal of nutrient pills at the nearest low-orbiting Space McDonalds.

Closing

We closed on Unit 33 in the 215 Harvard Lincoln/Kennedy Condos today. We thought it might be fun to start a blog to record our move in and decorating process, and maybe to post news and information of interest to the Lincoln/Kennedy community. We also hope to dig up a little bit about the history of the school, and this part of Medford, and will.
The whole inspection, punchlist, and closing process went way more smoothly than expected.
When we went under contract on an unfinished condo, we worried we were in for one of those nightmare situations that make for great HGTV shows. As it turns out, Doug and Ron and the whole team were awesome througout, and our place turned out even better than we imagined.
After closing, we went for a celebratory breakfast at Kelly's Diner in Ball Square. The home fries are awesome, and the apple sausage is not to be missed. Here is a video about the diner featuring that spikey haired doofus from the food network.
